Session 1

Coding Podiatry and DME for 2023

Podiatrists are under scrutiny when it comes to services and supplies used in their practice.  But what about DME for other providers.  There is one common compliance problem with these services, and that is improper documentation, or lack thereof, to support medical necessity.  This webinar will review current changes in trends in Podiatry but also DME.  Whether you are part of a Podiatry practice and/or a practice that dispenses DME, we will look at 2023 coding and policy changes.  Don’t get caught losing revenue because you are not update with the current changes and trends.

Coding revisions related to Podiatry for 2023 will be reviewed to know how to choose codes correctly to reduce denials and delayed payments as well as DME 2023 code changes that may affect your bottom line. After attending this webinar, attendees will be able to learn all of the special circumstances in billing and coding are related to Podiatry and DME.  The changes and trends can affect a practice’s bottom line in profits or losses

Session 2

2023 Physical Therapy Update

Each year there are updates to some of the most critical parts billing and coding by means of CPT® and the Medicare Physicians Fee Schedule.  In 2022 there were major changes to the way in which therapy services by assistants were reported and there is still some confusion on when modifiers have to be assigned to procedures involving assistants.  Each year there are also possible updates to the Medicare policies for therapy with new threshold limits and the annual “always therapy” listing that also requires the use of modifiers.

This webinar will look at the issues for 2022 retroactively as well as those for 2023.  2022 had some major changes in therapy related to therapy assistants and we need to assess the use of assistants now that we should have been reporting their involvement with modifiers for the last year.  Our expert speaker will talk about the Physicians Fee Schedule Final Rule for 2023 along with the annual therapy update and any other CMS changes.
